When I got new calligraphy pens, I thought a character drawn in them would be a neat idea.  (I was wrong. Devo is obnoxious to draw.)  This is a perfect example of why I prefer to have badly drawn character sheets.  With well-drawn ones like this, I end up copying.  Character designs should just be notations of what the characters look like so you don't forget... not strict versions to be copied.
