Acrolytes
Asteress' first people. They are
never seen by other races because they have been closed off from the world.
Timid farmers, they'd be dino-bait without Asteress' interferences.
Their tolerence towards things normal sentients find mind-numblingly boring
allow them to create the greatest produce in the world. They have
had no wars and have never found magic.
Noah
Demons
Death's people. One of the three
elementals, they are asexual, born of a broken heart. They normally
dwell under the mountains, feeding off the emotions of sentients and preserving
balance. Disagreements are common, but there is little in the way
of government and war. Due to Death's influence, they are somewhat
passive. Rarely seen by other sentients.
Ashurbanipal the Second, Tutankhamun
Dragons
One of the three elementals and having
no patron god, they don't need their magic to be released like humans.
Dragons can be found alligned to every element and in every size; however,
some types are harder to find. Dragons tend to avoid the other races,
almost to a fault. This race has been around since the beginning
of time and feels uninvolved, for the most part, in the affairs of the
rest of the world. They work on a sense of cultural expectations and elder
leadership, without "law" but with moral codes. Sometimes seen in
wars. Tend to speak in British accents for no descernable reason.
Bantam, Drak
Elves
No one really knows. Although "not
just skinny humans with a penchant for green," their alignment to forest
is about all that is known to other sentients. They have a republic
government, but rely more on cultural expectations than law. Often
you can hear elf bard's music in the middle of nowhere, but can not locate
the source. Their interference with other races is almost totally
based on whim and their own sense of long-term justice, as with the dragons.
Quite able to defend themselves, sometimes seen in wars. Usually
everyone leaves them alone, because it's hard to tell where they live,
and just how many of them there are.

Elf who Speaks Japanese
Genies
Immortals who appeared at the beginning
of time with one ability: the granting of other's desires. Treated
as slaves, used and sold, business-like and gruff as a rule, they were
few at the beginning of time and by now seem to have totally disappeared,
despite their immortal status.
Danube
Gods
In other words, immortals who personify nothing.
This includes both immortals created at the beginning of time and mortals
given immortality. Although they often have more magic than mortals,
they have no where near the power of the Personifications, even though
they are just below them on a scale of power.
Noah
Griffins
Varying greatly in race, but less in
size, griffins also are inherently alligned with an element. Although
curious about the other races and making no attempt to hide themselves,
griffins are not often seen working with the other races. They rarely
see wars. Although fully able to live alone, they form families habitually,
and a griffin is rarely seen on its own past its teenage years.
Windspeak
Humans
Life's people. Due to Life's influence,
they are somewhat aggressive. Can be found in many races on all continents
and even the sea. They are alligned to all the elements, but in separating
themselves from nature they lost natural magic; it must instead be released.
They are not often seen fraternizing with other species, although they
can be curious of them. Races include:
Autumn (Yume) Rounded form, short
chest and abdominal cavity, long legs, hair is uneven--fine, thick, wiry
all in one (royal), large eyes (moreso royal), brown or yellow hair.
Agricultural people who rarely leave the town they are born in, although
that is changing with recent goverment turmoil. Their capital is Aki.
Brush, Sprite, Pantera, Andrew,
Leene
Winter (Yume) High cheekbones (royal moreso), lithe
form, black hair, fluffy white hair (royal), light blue eyes (royal), dark desaturated skin,
slanted eyes. They depend on hunting to supplement their diets (it's a vitamin D thing.) Winters very
rarely leave their country because theirs is the most stable government.
Very traditional people. Their capital is Fuyu, faced towards Spring.
Quill, Conte, Yamero, Hanase, Meadow
Spring (Yume) Blocky form, fangs (royal), small eyes,
pudgy face, red blotchy skin, tend towards blonde. Some of the nicest
and most oppressed people. Have no concept of straight or gay, and
otherwise also openminded. Used to working together and running away,
fast, although on their own they rarely move around. Spring is the
most mountainous country, its capital is Haru. Best to stay away
from it.
Canvas, Devo, Mittens, Ki-sama,
Locke
Summer (Yume) shortened chest cavity, elongated abdominal
cavity, elongated face (moreso royal), small eyes, fast growing hair (royal), red eyes (royal), Midtone skin, tendancy to be blonde. Dress in draped fabric due to
obscene heat. The majority of the land is desert; the oasises disappear overnight. There are scattered mines. Summers are those who were once banished from the other lands and who have managed somehow to survive, often by raiding their old homelands. Summers are seen more abroad more than any other race and almost always keep their nomadic lifestyle. Capital is Natsu.
Ink, Raven, Madonna
Pisces (Sea) large eyes, large cornea, small pupils,
stretched figure, androgynous, salt-washed. No one's quite sure where
they came from, but they are a race of bilingual sailor/trader/merchants
who form the only bridge between continents.
Prodo, San, Fob, Canto
Taurus (Unmei) small pupils, large figure, a bit
hairy, hair that acts more like fabric than hair. By the time they
show up, the races are more mixed, so nevermind.
Oops, Joel
Virgo (Unmei) stylized anime builds, tall, incredible
eyelashes. Ditto.
Kotobiwa
Jyphons
Asteress' second people. Their
name means "dragon slayer" and they (obviously) don't get along well with
dragons, although they have achieved a (grudging) agreement at this point.
Disliked and feared by just about everyone, they have Asteress' bloodthirsty
nature and ego but have only had two wars in their history, neither among
themselves. Very traditional, they have 12 general occupations to match the 12 races.
You can tell their occupation by the medallions they wear, but gender is
anyone's guess. Good at avoiding the other races when they want to,
can also be very confrontational. Although some races look like small
griffins, they are not at all related. Their wings come from Asteress'
magic, making them even more deadly and Asteress even less popular.
They lack inherent magic, that ability being tied up in their wings.
Instead they have their own branch of magic that is much like human wordmagic.
...Wait for it?
Personifications
The greatest powers of the universe,
this includes Life and Death, the essence of the universe. That
which one personifies is not just his power, it IS him. Their magic
has no limit except for when it might overlap with another Personification's.
Life, Death, Trickery
Spirits
Coming in many types, spirits are made
purely of magic with no real form. Being visible takes up a small
amount of magic; being solid or casting spells a much greater amount.
Spirits have no renewable source of magic, so when they use up the magic
that is their existance, they either directly reincarnate or go into limbo to await it.
